The Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has launched the annual operational plan for the State ministry of health to further strengthen their activities for speedy performances and service delivery for the benefit of Ondo State citizens.

During the launch of the operational plan, Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa ably represented by his Special Adviser on health, Prof Simidele Odimayo said this procedural plan has become sacrosanct, expedient for achieving optimal performance, providing service providers in the state with succinct ideals in the health sector.

 

"This Annual Operational Plan will go a long way to serve as a guide lamp towards ensuring a speedy service delivery, enhance quality discharge of duties, and personal drive as well as reposition the facilities with needed principles and standard of operations and management."

However at the One Day Dissemination Meeting and launch of the Ondo State Annual Operational Plan at the Ministry of Health, Alagbaka. Akure, the state Governor emphasizes the need for unalloyed support and unwavering cooperation of stakeholders of the sector, without recourse to status and levels.

"Now that we are getting ready for another phase in health service rendering, we must all gear up to perform our roles and duties as may be assigned from time to time, see the work as a must-do, shunning undue levity, discrimination and nonchalant, and gaze at the essence of our call."

This publication will not only dish out a standard of operations for the sector but will as well help the state in budgetary provisions and undoubtedly improve the lives of the citizenry in the state, Prof Odimayo reaffirmed.

While calling for more support for Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor's Special Adviser on health enumerated different achievements of the state government in the sector in the short while which includes the construction of Insurance House in Okitipupa to cater for subscribers from the southern part of Ondo state, completion of Eye Centre in Okitipupa specialist hospital, Installation of Solar Inverters at Okitipupa State Specialist Hospital to address the age-long power outage which has almost crippled effective healthcare rendering in the area, renovation and facelifting of the Gani Fawehinmi Diagnostic Centre in Ondo among others.

The gaffer who is working tooth and nail to project the health image of the state for the global reckoning, Prof Odimayo said the state government is keen at making sure that Ondo state becomes the pacesetter in terms of health service delivery globally, health facilities, and a home for medical personnel particularly now that the Governor has effected the structural adjustments for entry levels of clinicians as well as affordable health for every family in the state.

It will be recalled that the Executive Governor of Ondo state, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has reviewed the activities of the health sector, reposition the sector for optimal performances, noting that the health of the people is key in the success of any administration. He has succinctly underscores this at different fora resonating with the need to hit the ground running in line with "OUR EASE"agenda.
