AT ODCHS PROVIDERS' ENGAGEMENT: Gov. Aiyedatiwa's Special Adviser on Health Emphasizes Intentionality and Integrity in Service Delivery.

The Ondo State Contributory Health Scheme has engaged the service providers in the Ondo North Senatorial District with the motif of ensuring quality service delivery for the subscribers of the state health insurance scheme.

Delivering the opening remark, the Director General of the Ondo State Contributory Health Commission, Dr Abiodun Oyeneyin said the deliberation has become sacrosanct in ensuring collaboration and ease of coordination for quality healthcare service delivery as the state envisaged expansion and enrollment of more beneficiaries from the informal sector.

In a statement corroborated by Dr Adesoji, the representative of the permanent secretary of the Ondo state ministry of health, the executive secretary of Ondo state drug management agency, Pharm Amos Ayegbusi said the entire health does not have any other option than to give unflinching support in order for the commission to succeed.

 

He appreciated all the service providers for their unwavering support, making the state qualify for the Prestigious Leadership Award of Excellence as Best Health Insurance and Managed Care Government Agency in Benefit Package Management. He seek further collaboration for feets as things progresses.

Accordingly, the chairman of Trade Union Congress, TUC, Comr Clement Fatuase, while being explicit in daring for more feets, commended the state government led by Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for prioritizing the health of the people, assiduously making efforts to ensure the health sector gets it right, and today we are seeing the results, TUC chairman commended.

"Without mincing words, the impact of the Governor in the health sector is unparalleled, however, I seize this medium to solicit the establishment of more government-owned hospitals in the Ondo South and North senatorial district."

In his statement, the Special Adviser on Health to Executive governor of Ondo state, Prof Simidele Odimayo highlighted the conspicuous effects of His Excellency Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa's determination and commitment to rescue the state health sector.

Prof Simidele Odimayo outlined some of the conspicuous landmark successes of Gov. Aiyedatiwa's since assumption of office, which has given rise to the number of facilities signifying interest in collaborating with the state to passionately drive more fortunes, render healthcare services beyond the shore of Ondo State.

Availability of drugs in healthcare facilities, collaboration with other qualified hospitals outside Ondo state. the universal health coverage, partnership with pharma manufacturing companies, acquisition of CT Scan and MRI to ease diagnostic process, expansion of over 102 primary healthcare centers and prompt payment of capitation to strengthen contributory health participating facilities are a few of the achievements highlighted by Prof Simidele Odimayo.

He therefore called for further cooperation and commitment of the health scheme providers to guarantee forward leaping of the scheme, charged the service providers on diligence and integrity. "Integrity is the quality of being honest and upright when no one is around to question you."
