Group Applauds Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Readiness To Implement Recommendations Of UNIMED Visitation Panel's Report.

A humanitarian organization, Shackles Breakers, Ondo state chapter has commended Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his decision to implement the recommendations of the Visitation Panel to the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo.

In a statement issued by its Convener, Comr. Deji Adebayo, the organization praised the Governor’s courage, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to accountability, standards, and truth — all in the best interest of UNIMED’s sustainability and the progress of Ondo State.

“We received with great optimism the news of the submission of the report by the Prof. Olumekun-led Visitation Panel and Your Excellency’s swift decision to act on its findings. It’s a welcome development and a bold step in the right direction.”

The organization noted the Governor's commitment to re-write the history of UNIMED. "Your decision to rescue the state medical university, UNIMED from administrative decay and financial recklessness shows your capacity for responsible governance and your dedication to safeguarding the future of education in our state.”

"We find it both reassuring and commendable that your administration has chosen to act in the interest of the people and the future of the institution.”

The statement also applauded the Visitation Panel for the diligence and professionalism displayed throughout their assignment hoping that the interest of Ondo state indigenes formed the basis of their recommendation with the motif of ensuring that the institution stands as a beacon of medical excellence.”

We therefore affirmed unequivocally, as a group, our unflinching support to the Governor hoping that the implementation of the panel’s recommendations will set a new standard for integrity and development in the state's education sector.
