International Health Organization Showers Encomium On Ondo State Govt.; Awards Gov. Aiyedatiwa, Prof Odimayo.


Girl Effect, an international, gender health-focused organization currently purveying the Human Papillo Virus (HPV) vaccine in Nigeria has profusely praised the government for taking prime position in delivery of health services in the country. This was at the official launch of OYA Campaign for HPV Vaccination on Wednesday, 22nd of May, 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Ministry of Women Affairs, Igbatoro Road, Akure.


In an event packed with dignitaries including the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr. Bosede Osamaye, chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Ondo State, Rev. Fr. Anselm Ologunwa, representative of the Deji of Akure, High Chief Muyiwa Akinyemi (the Lotin of Akure), Wife of the chairman of the Akure South Local Government, Mrs Bosede Fasua, representative of the Ondo State Head of Service, Mrs Bose Mike-Daudu, Mr, Steve Amadi of the World Health Organisation etc.


The Country Director of Girl Effect, Dr. (Mrs) Boladale Kolapo said Ondo state has performed creditably well to deserve an award from the organization. She commended the Special Adviser to the Governor on health, Prof Simidele Odimayo for implementing pro-people policies. The group therefore bestowed the duo awards of special recognition.

ONDO DISSOLVES BOARD, APPOINT CARETAKER COMMITTEE

 PRESS STATEMENT. DISSOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ONDO STATE FOOTBALL AGENCY. The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the dissolution of the management board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA). With this dissolution, the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dele Ologun, and other members have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect and directed to hand over all government properties in their care to the accounting officer of the agency. Meanwhile, the Governor has approved a caretaker committee to manage the affairs of Sunshine Stars Football Club, under the leadership of Mr. Tokunbo Akinyelure as Team Manager and Welfare Officer.  Other members of the caretaker team are: 1.
