BREAKING: For A Healthier Ondo State: Not Too Young To Rule Meets with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Matters.


On Thursday 26 April 2025, the Not Too Young To Rule delegation, led by National Coordinator, Hon. Ogundairo Samuel, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Special Adviser on health to Ondo State Governor, Prof. Simidele Odimayo in Alagbaka, Akure the Ondo State capital. At The schedule visit that was borne out of a desire to explore areas of mutual cooperation between the organization and the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Matters was marked by a warm reception, fruitful discussions, and promising opportunities for future collaboration.


Prof. Simidele Odimayo welcomed the delegation with open arms, expressing his joy and enthusiasm for the visit. His warm reception set the tone for a productive and engaging discussion.


Acknowledging the Yeoman's Job of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on health matters in Ondo State, the organization described the commitment and dedication as topnotch considering his antecedents in the last one year which is not unconnected to having a competent professor as his aide and we are persuaded to come closer to contribute our quota.


"As the Governor's Man on health, Prof. Simidele Odimayo has been doing an outstanding job, leveraging his expertise as an astute medical professional to drive positive change in Ondo State's healthcare sector. Since his appointment, he has demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges facing the healthcare system and has worked tirelessly to address them."


During the meeting, Prof. Simidele Odimayo highlighted key areas where his office can work with Not Too Young To Rule to further enhance the public healthcare delivery system in Ondo State:

1. Health Awareness and Education: Collaborating on health awareness campaigns, workshops, and seminars to educate the public on various health issues and promote healthy living.

2. Youth Engagement in Healthcare: Engaging young people in healthcare initiatives, including volunteer programs, health fairs, and community outreach projects.

3. Capacity Building for Healthcare Workers: Providing training and capacity-building programs for healthcare workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

4. Community-Based Health Projects: Implementing community-based health projects, such as disease prevention and control programs, maternal and child health initiatives, and health infrastructure development.


The visit concluded on a positive note, with Professor Odimayo praising the intellectual capacity and vibrant humanitarian passion of Hon. Ogundairo Samuel over the years as both parties expressed enthusiasm for a potential fruitful partnership. The Not Too Young To Rule delegation left the meeting with a renewed sense of purpose, eager to work with Prof. Simidele Odimayo and his office to improve healthcare delivery in Ondo State. 


This promising partnership has the potential to drive meaningful change and improve the lives of the people of Ondo State and special kudos must go to the Executive Governor of Ondo State His Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for appointing a well-versed medical guru as his current Special Adviser on Health Matters.

 PRESS STATEMENT. DISSOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ONDO STATE FOOTBALL AGENCY. The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the dissolution of the management board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA). With this dissolution, the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dele Ologun, and other members have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect and directed to hand over all government properties in their care to the accounting officer of the agency.
