Ondo Governor, Dr Aiyedatiwa Reaffirms Commitment To Health Workers Welfare, Responsive Healthcare System, Emphasizes Diligence.


The Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his decisions to prioritize the welfare of Ondo state health workers for optimal performances, targeting a responsive healthcare system, designed to meet the yearnings of the good people of Ondo State.


Speaking through his Special Adviser on health, Prof Simidele Odimayo at the briefing of the Hospital Management Board officials in his office on Tuesday, Gov. Aiyedatiwa's firm decisions to prioritize a wholesome working conditions for the health workers across the state was reemphasized.


In a statement made available to newsmen through his Media aide, Ben Ikuejamofo, Prof Simidele Odimayo said the Governor is in for a big deal this time, in terms of holistic health service delivery across the state.


"This new season requires more proactiveness in service rendering to enhance quality healthcare delivery, essentially, at the primary and secondary health facilities in the state."


"This scheduled briefing aimed at engaging necessary stakeholders in order to actualize perfect restructuring of the UNIMEDTH as the ceding process of the facility to FUTATH nears completion."


Prof Odimayo clarified questions and issues raised regarding the two annexes of UNIMEDTH in Ondo. He said, the Ondo complex will be returned to its previous status before the commencement of the teaching hospital. This  arrangement will automatically bring the facility under the Hospital Management Board While the Laje complex remains the state's teaching hospital. 


"The interest of His Excellency, Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa in this regard, underscores the importance of ensuring that no health worker suffers any disadvantage as a result of the new arrangements, noting that every staff member has been mandated to remain in the facility where they are presently in the meantime. 


Accordingly, the Ondo state governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has continued to show commitment to fulfilling his promises of prompt payment of salaries and emoluments of health workers without any form of delay, clearly depicting his readiness to birth quality healthcare Service delivery for the good people of the state.


"Gov. Aiyedatiwa is keen about your welfare, you are therefore tasked to sensitize your staff, educating them on replicating these kind gestures of Mr Governor to the good people of Ondo state, determined to be productive, committed to their duties, shunning every act of lackadaisical and tyranny."

The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the dissolution of the management board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA).
